Weatherbys Hamilton is one of the UK's leading brokers specialising in the needs of private clients, from houses to horses. We have an outstanding opportunity in our Newmarket office to join our private client division which looks after an extensive portfolio of high net worth clients, as well as racehorse trainers and stud farm owners in and around the Newmarket area.

We are looking to offer a competitive salary dependent on career experience. You will receive 23 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing by 1 day for each full year served, up to a maximum of 27 days, have access to a variety of other benefits including a generous pension scheme and a range of discounts and benefits through our Reward Gateway platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing exceptional insurance and service to clients and liaising with insurers.
  • Identify and seek out new business in accordance with the firm's client profile.
  • Processing risks on WH's systems, preparing and checking policy documentation, inviting renewals.
  • Producing invoices and assisting with the collection of premiums.
  • Liaising with insurers, surveyors, loss adjustors and the like on all relevant issues.
  • Assisting other team members in seeking resolution to client queries.
  • Acting at all times in a compliant manner and in accordance with WH's procedures.
  • Cooperating with WH Partners and staff in all its offices in a friendly, positive and cooperative manner.

Skills Required

  • 3 year's experience in the HNW insurance sector is essential.
  • A good understanding of the broker environment and broker relationships.
  • Cert CII qualification or desire to progress to at least this level.
  • An ability to gain maximum benefit from strong negotiation skills with ability to work accurately and consistently.
  • An ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Awareness and understanding of compliance rules, along with knowledge of the FCA rules and how to comply with them.
  • Excellent communication skills.
