Charles Hamilton

Executive Chairman, Newmarket

Weatherbys Hamilton is the culmination of Charles's career that has morphed through Bradstock Hamilton, Hamilton & Partners and Lycetts.

Beth Sharkey

Partner, Newmarket

Beth started her career working for David Minton and spent a further 18 years working at the British Bloodstock Agency, Hamilton & Partners and Lycetts before joining Weatherbys Hamilton as a founder partner. Beth looks after many high profile owners and specialises in all areas of equine insurance.

Jonny McIrvine

Partner, Newmarket

Jonny began his career at Willis Faber before moving on to BGI Bloodstock, Hamilton & Partners, Lycetts and Weatherbys Hamilton, where he is a partner. He advises bloodstock owners and private clients, as well as specialising in hail insurance for fruit growers in the UK.

James White

Chief Financial Officer, Newmarket

James qualified as an accountant (ACCA) in 1999. He left Lycetts to join Weatherbys Hamilton at its inception and manages all financial aspects of the business.

Lydia Courtice

Chief Operating Officer, Newmarket

Lydia graduated from the University of Exeter with a law degree and spent 8 years in the City. She joined Weatherbys Hamilton in 2019 where she manages the operational side of the business.

Stephanie Randall

Account Manager, Newmarket

After 15 years in the British Bloodstock Agency’s insurance department, Steph moved to Hamilton & Partners and then Lycetts, before joining Weatherbys Hamilton at the start. She looks after a wide range of bloodstock clients and specialises in all areas of equine insurance.

Karen Hunt

Account Manager, Newmarket

Karen has spent all her career in insurance and left Jelf in Newmarket to join Weatherbys Hamilton in 2020. She works with Alec Moore and Jonny McIrvine in looking after private clients.

Lucy Horan

Account Manager, Newmarket

After graduating from Newcastle University in 2017 with a degree in Geography, Lucy joined Weatherbys Hamilton where she works with Beth Sharkey and Stephanie Randall and looks after bloodstock clients.

Olivia Aulton

Account Manager, Newmarket

Olivia joined Weatherbys Hamilton in 2017 after working in a Newmarket pre-training yard. She looks after a wide range of bloodstock clients and specialises in all areas of equine insurance.

Louise Davy

Account Executive, Newmarket

Louise worked for Hastings and Lycetts before joining us in 2022. Louise works with Alec and Karen in looking after the Newmarket office's private clients.

Richard Chugg

Joint Chief Executive, Swindon

Richard joined Weatherbys Hamilton at its inception having previously worked at Hamilton & Partners and Lycetts. He leads the Swindon office and is Joint Chief Executive with Alec Moore.

Charlie Denman

Partner, Swindon

Charlie graduated from the Royal Agricultural College in 2014 to work for Ecclesiastical Insurance as an underwriter. He joined Weatherbys Hamilton in 2019 to specialise in private client and farm and estate insurance and has a keen interest in agriculture management.

Anthony Liddell

Partner, Swindon

Anthony was commissioned into the Coldstream Guards in 1994 and spent the next 16 years in various Command and Staff appointments. On leaving the Army in 2010 he became Head of Boarding at Elstree Prep School. Joining Lycetts in 2015, Anthony was based in Marlborough as an Associate Director. He joined WH in 2023 and specialises in placing the insurance for farms, estates and HNW private clients.

David Bates

Account Manager, Swindon

David joined Weatherbys Hamilton in 2013 after working for Hamilton & Partners and Lycetts. He has extensive knowledge of private client insurance and is a key support to the partners in the Swindon office.

Kelly Fay

Account Manager, Swindon

Kelly joined Weatherbys Hamilton in 2021 having worked in bloodstock insurance with KBIS and for commercial brokers for a number of years. Kelly works in our Swindon office and provides an excellent service to our farm and estate clients.

Tom Biddiscombe

Senior Account Executive, Swindon

Tom joined our Swindon office in 2021 having worked in insurance for 12 years. He works with Charlie Denman looking after our private clients.

Tracy Barrett

Senior Account Executive, Swindon

Tracy has worked in private client insurance for most of her career. She joined Weatherbys Hamilton in 2016 where she plays a key role in managing the Swindon office's private clients.

Olivia Van Grutten

Olivia graduated from the Royal Agricultural University and joined Weatherbys Hamilton in 2018 where she works with Richard Chugg in looking after bloodstock and private clients.

Sharon Thornton

Senior Account Executive, Swindon

Sharon joined WH in 2022 after a 30 year career with Gallagher Bassett in Swindon. She plays a key role in looking after farm & estate clients.

Rachael Simmons

Senior Scheme Underwriter, Swindon

From starting her insurance career with the NFU and Zurich, Rachael joined Weatherbys Hamilton in 2020 and is a key member of the team looking after private and farm & estate clients.

Sarah Jackson

Scheme Underwriter, Swindon

Sarah joins Weatherbys Hamilton in 2024 from the NFU where she worked on HNW and personal policies. She works on our Farm & Estate team with Rachael Simmons.

Cameron Crawford-Smith

Account Executive, Swindon

Cameron graduated from Bath Spa University in 2018 and went on to work in a variety of bloodstock roles for Darley Nominations and Sledmere Stud. He brings a wealth of bloodstock knowledge and assists Richard Chugg in our Swindon office.

Felix Godwin

Account Executive, Swindon

Felix joined Weatherbys Hamilton in 2024 bringing with him a wealth of industry knowledge in personal lines, art & private client and non-standard construction property. Having lived on a farm for 20 years, he has joined the Farm & Estate team to pursue his passion.

Nick Cheyne

Partner, Wellingborough

Nick joined Weatherbys Ltd in 2004 as Client Relations Director and then moved to Weatherbys Hamilton as Partner. He manages relationships with a wide range of clients and is an important introducer of new ones.

Matthew Haxby

Partner, Wellingborough

Matthew was a longstanding member of the Weatherbys Insurance team before it folded in to Weatherbys Hamilton in 2012. He has extensive knowledge of the bloodstock industry and looks after owners and breeders all over the country.

Clare Blakely

Partner, Wellingborough

Clare practised as a chartered accountant before pursuing a career as an executive search specialist. She joined Weatherbys Hamilton in 2015 to consolidate its relationship with Weatherbys Bank and became a Partner in 2019. Clare specialises in Private Client insurance and looks after a wide range of clients.

Stephen Howard

Account Manager, Wellingborough

Stephen joined Weatherbys Hamilton at the start after extensive experience with Weatherbys Insurance. He looks after a substantial number of bloodstock clients all over the country.

Senior Account Executive, Wellingborough

Anita joined Weatherbys in 1989 and has been with Weatherbys Hamilton since the start. She plays a key role in managing the Wellingborough bloodstock clients.

Caroline Roberts

Caroline joined Weatherbys Insurance in 2003 and then Weatherbys Hamilton in 2013. She provides support and a high level of service to a wide range of bloodstock clients.

Sarah Ryan

Sarah joined Weatherbys Bank before moving to Weatherbys Hamilton in 2017. She previously worked for the NFU and brings a wide range of knowledge to her bloodstock and liability clients.

Gemma Giordano

Account Handler, Wellingborough

Gemma worked for Compass Group in Northamptonshire for nearly 5 years before she joined the WH Wellingborough office in September 2023, where she supports Clare Blakely with Private Client insurance.

Will Johnson

Partner, Penrith

Will joined Weatherbys Hamilton in 2015 after spells with the NFU in Lancaster and Howdens in London. He is the founder partner of the Penrith office and specialises in providing bespoke private client and farms and estates insurance.

Jordan Palmer

Account Manager, Penrith

Jordan joined WH in 2022 from Marsh and brings with him a wealth of commercial knowledge. He works with Will in our Penrith office looking after private clients.

Caleb Foley

Account Executive, Penrith

Having read Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bristol, Caleb relocated back to the North-West of England to work as an insurance underwriter for Allianz. He now supports Will Johnson with both farm and estate and private clients.

Hamish Hardy

Partner, London

Leaving the Army after eleven years, Hamish joined Weatherbys Hamilton in 2021. Specialising in Private Client work, Hamish also looks after our relationship with the Private Bank in London and is responsible for some management functions within the business.

James Innes

Partner, Edinburgh

James joined Weatherbys Hamilton in May 2020 to open our new office in Edinburgh. He was previously with Lycetts and specialises in all aspects of private client and farm & estate insurance.

Sian Campbell

Sian joined our Edinburgh office in March 2023, supporting James Innes with farm & estate and private client insurance. She previously worked for Towergate, specialising in motor fleet.

Guy Baxter

Guy joined Weatherbys Hamilton in 2020 to set up the Horsham office after a successful career in private client and farm & estate insurance with Aon and then Lycetts.

Jade Knight

Jade worked for Towergate and Morton Michel before joining Weatherbys Hamilton in 2021. Jade works with Guy Baxter and plays a key role in looking after the Horsham office's farm & estate and private clients.
